19th Century Tuscan Terracotta Jar
A substantial late 19th century terracotta wine/oil jar from Tuscany. Heavily patinated with characterful losses throughout but retaining a stylised Medusa mask and further grotesque mask beneath. Inscribed with the date of production. Italian, 1884.
