Blackened Meiji Era Tansu
A well proportioned Meiji era tansu chest constructed from blackened cedar timber with forged iron hardware. Simple sliding doors reveal open storage to the top, with a lower cupboard behind slatted sliding doors and two drawers beneath. Japanese, c. 1870.
